Hi I'm Erik

I am a convert to the LDS Church.

About Me

I love being outdoors, I enjoy wildlife. I have worked on a farm/ranch for almost 6 years and absolutely love it. I have played many sports which include, football, basketball, track, and high school rodeo. When I am not working I spend my free time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I took the lessons from the missionaries when I was about 14 and that is something i will always hold close to my heart. I still remember the Elder that taught our family. Now i want to go out and do the same for others in Brazil where I will be serving my mission. This church has strengthened my family so much, and has turned my life around. I have become closer to the Savior and my Heavenly Father. I love the examples that leaders and friends in the church have shown me to touch my life in so many ways.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle Scout and very proud of that achievement. I am still very involved in the scouting program, i am the ward young mens secretary, this calling gives me the opportunity to help the young men and to teach them also. I am preparing to serve a mission in Brazil, which is a very exciting experience for me.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Erik
No, not all Mormons are required to serve, however the Prophet of the church has asked that all worthy able young men should serve a mission. The members still have a choice. Women are not required to serve missions but are more than welcome to if they chose to. Show more Show less
