Hi I'm Holly

I grew up in New England and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a massage therapist and I have a full time job sewing. I love animals and have trained dogs and horses. I also sing in a community choir, I love hunting and fishing, I also knit and crochet especially for my 16 grand children and 8 children. I have also owned and run a 400 acre farm where I raised goats. I milked 180 goats twice a day and made 15,000 bales of hay per year most of which I sold.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in 1976 while I was in college. I was not headed in a good direction at that time and the missionaries really helped me to make a positive change in my life. I have learned so many things since becoming a member and following His gospel. I have learned that I can repent of my transgressions and be forgiven. I have so much peace in my life now. Following the gospel of Jesus Christ is so rewarding and freeing because I know what want out of life now and I have a direction to go in. I have had some very spiritual experiences since I have joined this church some of which are very sacred to me but I can say that I have heard His voice and felt His arms around me when I needed comfort. I have had a burning in my heart when I knew the spirit was present and wispering that what was being said was true. I feel like this is a living church with a kind and loving Father guiding it and me every day.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and look forward to that all week. The wonderful feeling I get when I attend church meetings helps me get through the week. I love doing service for others in whatever capacity I can. I visit some of the women in my congregation every month to make sure they are doing okay and to see if they need anything. I give rides to some who don't have a way to get to church too. I am the secretary of our women's group which I really enjoy because I get to know the ladies better. I just participated in a service project for my town where a bunch of us went and cleaned up several parks in the area. We picked up trash and cleaned picnic tables to spruce up the parks so everyone can enjoy them more. Many of the people using the parks that day thanked us for making the park nicer and for the service we were doing. It was a real feel good day!
