Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in California. I am a stay-at-home mom of three. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to run, read good books, watch movies and play games with my family. I am married and we have three beautiful children. I would like to go back to school and finish college when my kids are grown. I enjoy cooking and learning how to do new things. I love hanging out with my sisters and having parties with family and friends. The LDS church is the center and foundation of my life. I love this gospel and I know it is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. It is the only way for me and my family to live with our Heavenly Father again some day. My membership in this church and my temple marriage are my most prized possessions. My faith, testiomony and the way living the gospel makes me feel are the reasons why I am happy, blessed and why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The church have given me a community of friends. I get to serve in my church as a teacher to children ages 6-7. It is such a joy to teach these beautiful children the fundamentals of the gospel. I also get to serve as a Visiting Teacher where I visit a few women in our church on a monthly basis, and give them a lesson and just sit and visit. This gives me the opportunity to make new friends and to share the gospel. I truely love the women that I visit and they have become some of my best friends. I also have women that visit me. These visits always make me feel so loved and that I am not alone in this world. I enjoy all the events and meetings that the church provides. They help me to become a better person and to learn about and have a testimony of Jesus Christ.

What is being a Mormon like?

Amanda
For me being a member of the LDS church is like being apart of a community of friends. I don't work and can be shy so making friends is hard for me. Without the church I would be so alone, and I wouldn't have any friends. This brings me great joy. I know that I am not alone. The LDS church is focused on the teachings of Jesus Christ and having christ like love for all people. We are always busy helping and serving one another. The LDS church is very focused on families and making them strong and keeping them together forever. It is wonderful being a member of the LDS church. Show more Show less
