Hi I'm Roland

I was born in Port Au Prince Haiti. I grew up in Pompano Beach Florida. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love life and I enjoy what I do. I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints . I am Haitian bred.. I love being around people.I am the youngest of 4 boys in my family and I have 2 younger sisters. I love playing and watching almost all sports. I grew up in the east coast of the U.S. I love the outdoors. I love camping fishing, ect.. and hanging out with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

In the book of Acts, We read "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." That Scripture really makes me happy .Through Jesus Christ and His Atonement, we are able to return to live with God again, and we are able to live with our families forever. I always thought there had to be more to life than school, work and sleep. I asked myself where did I came from, what my purpose was on this earth, and where will I go after.Missionaries were inspired to knock on my door and shared a brief message with me. I asked them those very questions, starting with"Where did I come from? A brief lesson on Prophets was taught. They offered to come by another time to share more. I was excited to find out more. The Elders testified that there was a prophet on this earth. I was very impressed by the spirit they brought into my heart and even in the home.I could feel it leave the home. I wanted to feel The Holy Ghost all the time. They said "will you pray to know if the message we are sharing with you is true? I did! You know what, it was true! and still is. Everything they said were true!Baptism, my first step, was set a month from that day. Satan tried his best to stop me from being baptized in Christ's restored Church. I trusted my family but, there were some misconceptions that they had. A small stumbling block was set. It became my choice to remove it. A 17yrld young man wanting to go to church to change and I was forbidden to attend church with the "Mormons". Its church! Why couldn't i attend church with them I thought. I had powerful spiritual experiences from meeting with the missionaries. Elder Arnold and Elder Child every time they came to the house, there was peace! I wanted continued peace. The gospel Of Jesus Christ will bring you peace. I have felt this peace. Be honest in your search. When you find out don't let anything stop you. No one should come before the Lord. Love RJP-L

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary and I teach people about the Godhead. It is a rewarding feeling to see people change for the better. I know that it is only by the spirit I am able to do this and I really enjoy the Peace the spirit brings me. No better way to live life than to serve your fellow man. I am grateful for that. I look forward to serving my family and friends in whatever capacity I can.
