Hi I'm Patti

I love my family. I am a passionate genealogist. I love to volunteer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother to 5 children. As a family we have lived all over the United States and in Okinawa, Japan. I was a military wife for 12 years and now that my husband is retired from the military we move even more with his new career. I must love him immensely. I am a professional volunteer. I have been a dedicated volunteer with Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years. I am also a leader for the Girl Scouts. I love working with children. I am also passionate about genealogy. I love helping people learn the history of their family. I love to craft, cook and teach children. I love music and play serveral instruments. Most of all, I love my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little, I went to Bible School and to the Methodist Church with my Mom and Grandmother. When the missionaries came to our home to teach us about the Mormon church, I already had a strong love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I was baptized when I was 8 years old. I recognized the truth in what the missionaries taught me at that time. Family is my most important treasure. My greatest desire is to be with my family for eternity. I teach my children about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and share my testimony with them daily. I try everyday to live the commandments that my life will be an example for my children. I am blessed to be sealed to my children and my husband for time and all eternity. One of my proudest moments is when my eldest son left for his mission. I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I enjoy the companionship of the Holy Ghost. I look forward to the day when I can return to heaven and kneel before my Father and offer Him my life of service dedicated to Him.

How I live my faith

I teach an early morning Bible study class to local high school students. I am so impressed by their dedication to be at my house at 6am each day. My life is enriched as I immerse myself in the scriptures with them and as I prepare my lessons. I am also a dedicated volunteer with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. There is something wonderful that happens when I spend time with these children of God. The few hours I spend with them each fills my life with love and purpose. I love the joy they find in the simple blessings of life. Volunteering gives me an opportunity to use my talents in helping others. I have dedicated my life to genealogy and helping others find their ancestors. I have learned much about my ancestors and take pleasure in researching a family's history.
