Hi I'm Anna

I grew up on a Naval Base in San Diego. I'm a Nursing Assistant and a mom of 3 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved to Utah with my family when my dad retired from the Navy. I was 14 years old and I was so happy to finally be around other Mormon kids. In San Diego there were very few kids who shared my beliefs. We had to travel for 30 minutes just to get to our church house. In Utah our church building was just on the corner! I went to college at BYU Idaho, that's where I met my husband. We have 3 children - 13,10, and 5. We have been married for 15 years - and we are more in love every year that passes. I am a CNA, and count it as one of my greatest priveledges to help my elderly patients pass on. I give comfort to them and their families by singing songs of faith as they are passing. I love being a mom. Some of my favorite activities are reading with my kids, crocheting, playing the piano, watching PBS, and bike riding with my family. We love to go and do things as a family. Just this week we went up to Snow Basin Ski Resort (where the 2002 Olympics were held) and took a hike through all the beautiful fall color. The beauty that our Heavenly Father put here on this earth for us to enjoy just took my breath away!

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was 12 years old, I knew that this gospel was true. I wanted to know for myself and not just take my parents word for it. They never forced me to believe, or gave consequences for unbelief, they were always unconditionally loving and supportive. By reading the Book of Mormon everyday, and praying everynight I gained for myself a strong feeling in my heart that this gospel is true! I feel so much more peace and happiness when I live the principles of this gospel. When I make bad choices and choose not to follow in Christ's footsteps - I feel awful! I have learned by trial and error that this is where I am happiest, this is where I feel the best! I love my Savior with my whole heart!

How I live my faith

I find great joy in serving my family, neighbors, and those in my church ward. Every weekday I help a single mom, who lives next door, by watching her children for free while she is at work. I give them rides to and from school, and take them to doctor appointments. In the process of helping her, I gained an amazing friend. I am also the choir director for our ward choir. I love to sing praises to my Heavenly Father! My favorite time, Christams time, is approaching - I can't wait to sing all the songs of my Savior's birth, and help my choir to sing as well.
