Hi I'm Wayne Goodworth

Grew up in Idaho, I love spending time with my family. I enjoy motorcycles and own Goodworth Music. ...And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Being fifth in a family of 10 children, I felt I had the best of all worlds. I had the opportunity to learn from my older siblings plus I got to expound my experience upon my younger siblings. My wife and I have been blessed with three children of our own. One of my favorite things is to spend time with my children. They all enjoy playing soccer and I love watching their games. I've even coached them some. I am one of a very small minority who have employment through the LDS Church, I work with the Bishops' Storehouses and food storage for people's homes. I also love music. I learned to tune and repair pianos in high school from a blind piano technician. I now own Goodworth Music, where I buy and sell musical instruments. I especially love to build and repair stringed instruments (violins, cellos, etc.)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of the feeling I get when I attend church and serve others. I want to be more like Jesus, so I study the scriptures and try to live like the great men in the scriptures. I have many weaknesses I am trying to overcome, and I believe that applying the teachings I learn and serving others will help me become the person I want to become. While I am a Mormon (a nickname given to church members) the real name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am happy to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I love to attend church and serve in my local congregation. On a typical Sunday, my family attends three main meetings. We attend sacrament meeting as a family, then: - the children (age 11-1 1/2) go to primary and sharing time - our youth attend a youth Sunday school class and a young women meeting - my wife and I attend adult Sunday school together, then she goes to relief society meeting with the women, and I go to the priesthood meeting with the men. My wife currently serves as president of our local women's organization, called relief society. I currently serve as a primary teacher. I teach about 10 children who are ages 10 and 11. In the past I have served as Bishop of our ward (local congregation of about 400 people). I've also served with the young men. Our daughter plays the piano for the ward choir. During the week, our children attend activities for they youth. Our son is in a Cub Scout pack sponsored by the ward.
