Hi I'm Denise

I am a full time mom and wife. I am a preschool music teacher. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small Idaho town and moved to Philadelphia when I got married. It was a tough cultural change that helped me know I was a strong and independent person! I worked and supported my husband while he went to school for six years before we started our family. I love being married and being a mom. I love serving in our church and the knowledge that wherever I move to, the gospel of Jesus Christ and His church on the earth will be the same. I always thought that I would have a big family - but after our second child was born we dealt with years of frustrating infertility. I feel blessed and lucky to have the two children that we have. I am an avid crafter, a Pinterest addict, a lover of all things pretty, and obsessed with decorating and redecorating. And redecorating again. When my girls both went to school I started a business teaching Mom & Me Music classes. I love it and I love the children and the moms that I get to see on a regular basis. I also appreciate the flexibility of my job and the fact that I never have to work in the summer or over the holidays so that I can be with my own children and family. I miss my family and it's hard living across the country from them. It's my only regret about our life. But I think it has also helped our little family to be close to one another.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I have asked God if it is true. My answer was a definitive YES. I have prayed about every aspect of the church and have always felt that God communicated with me that I am doing the right things and that I am in the right place. Being a Mormon gives me purpose, direction, and comfort.

How I live my faith

I help to lead the children's organization at church. It is a privilege to work with the rising generation and help them to know that they are special children of our loving Heavenly Father. We have lessons and sing songs and create fun activities to help bring the children closer to the Savior and Heavenly Father and to support their families.
