Hi I'm Garold

I'm a father of four and new grandfather of one. I enjoy reading and cross country travel with my family. I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an electrical engineer by profession, however that is just a way to earn a living, my life begins when I am home. I enjoy reading and learning about technology but my favorite activities always include my family: going on picnics, bike riding, summer camps, and specially cross country car trips. There is something special in these moments together.

Why I am a Mormon

I have one overriding desire in life - eternal joy. I do not mean the fleeting fun or excitement that is sold to us on TV and the Internet. I mean the deep abiding happiness that comes through righteous living as we follow Christ's teachings. I have put His words to the test [see John 7:17] and know for myself that not only is he the way, the truth, and the life but He is the way to eternal joy!

How I live my faith

I serve as the Bishop (pastor) of our local congregation, my responsibilities include spiritual leadership, caring for our members, planning and organizing our worship services and overseeing finances. My favorite part of this assignment is working one-on-one with individuals, helping them feel the love of our savior Jesus Christ.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Garold
A testimony is a knowledge that is revealed to us through the Holy Ghost that the gospel is true, that Christ lives and loves us, or that the the teachings of the prophet are true. Show more Show less
