Hi I'm Jake Hasler

I love animals, traveling, baseball, computers, and photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in a family of 5 children. My 4 older siblings are all married, and have the cutest children on earth. I am the uncle to 6 nieces and nephews, and I adore those children. My family has always loved to travel. Naturally, I have been able to go with them. We have traveled extensively throughout South America, and I love the people and things that I have learned through those experiences. I love to play baseball. It has been a passion of mine for a long time, and I will love it forever. Photography is also awesome. I feel that it is a way that I can create art, despite my lack of drawing and painting skills. Capturing candid moments makes it all worth while. The most important thing about me is the faith that I choose to live. I am a Mormon, and I love every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not been forced, brainwashed, or thrusted into this faith. I am here because I choose to be. I did grow up in the church, and there are many examples of fine people that have led me to where I am today. I have come to know of the sincere truthfulness of the gospel, through many experiences that are very close to my heart. It wasn't until I decided to exercise my agency and read the scriptures and prayed to know of their truth that I really knew. Perspectives on life became so much more clear. That is when I realized how much God loves us, and has truly given us everything that we have on this earth. I feel that it is my duty to help spread this gospel; to share with others the happiness that I have felt by being a part of this gospel.

How I live my faith

I attend church on sundays, home teach families in the ward, collect fast offerings, pay tithing, teach lessons in sunday school, give service and read my scriptures. As of right now, I will spending 2 years of my life serving a full time mission for the church in Santiago, Chile. I am excited and anxious to get out there and share my message with them. I love this gospel!
