Hi I'm Jonathan

I sing and play the piano. I like friends, basketball, and making movies. I'm serving a mission in CA! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 19 year old (well, at least when I started writing this), and I'm super excited to be serving a mission! Before my mission I started going to college, and I'm thinking of going into film editing or music to do vocal performance! Besides making movies and singing, I really enjoy playing basketball, and love doing things with my friends. Sometimes, I think I'm really funny, and I would prefer it if others agree. I'd also consider myself a pretty happy person!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who has been in the church for many generations, so I don't have an unexpected conversion story, but what I do have is a testimony of "continual conversion". Becoming and staying a member of the Church and a follower of Christ isn't a one time thing! It's something we should continually be striving to do. Christ was the perfect example, and we should always be striving to become like Him. I know that he atoned for me, and that he loves me and knows my perfectly. I know that not only do I have loving parents on Earth, but that I have a loving Heavenly Father above. He wants me to return to His presence, and has set forth a plan so I can! I know that this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is true. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God, and that he is a true prophet. The Book of Mormon is true, and testifies of Christ. Through reading it we can learn how to become better people and live better lives. I know that by having faith in Christ and enduring to the end, I can - all of us can - live with our families forever!

How I live my faith

Well right now I'm serving a mission for my church! If you are here, you probably know about the missionaries - we're the ones who wear the white shirts, suits, and ties! In fact, one of us was likely the one who gave you the card sending you here! It's really fun out here learning a new language (Chinese), and it's great to be able to share the gospel and bear my testimony every single day! Before I came out here I participated with my youth group in a lot of fun activities, including camps, sports, and other things that really made me appreciate all the things that I had! I also learned a lot of things that prepared me for college and my mission, so I'm grateful for good leaders and parents who taught me how to live a good life.
