Hi I'm Peter

I have lived in three different countries and move around every few years. I love to help others in school. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I lived in Spain for three years before coming here to Georgia because of my dad's work. I am a high school student and love math and science. I love to read and play card games. I used to play sports until I had a bad knee injury and had to stop. I used to need to use crutches frequently whenever my knee would get hurt. I am very used to moving and try to stay in touch with people I met in other places. I enjoy spending time with other Mormons my age at church and at other youth activities. I enjoy playing video games when i have free time over the weekend also.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. Both of my parents were members so I decided to get baptized when I turned eight. I continue to go to church and my activities because they are fun and I always feel the spirit when I am with some of the people there or learning about Christ. I know that Christ loves me and I can tell that I am doing what he wants me to be doing when I am at church or seminary. I also feel very loved form many of the leaders in the church and feel that they want what is best for me. I also love to serve others and there is always people in need and the Church helps us find and help them.

How I live my faith

I wake up at around 5:30 every morning to get ready for the day. At 6:00 I go to seminary where we are currently studying the New Testament. The young men meet usually once a week to do some fun activity sometimes followed by a snack. Each Sunday I go to church with my family for two hours. Sometimes we arrive early to help set up. I also go hometeaching to different families once each month. I do this with my father to make sure everyone has what they need both physically and spiritually. I have four families I go hometeaching to and I feel closer to them each visit and want to help them as much as I can.

Are Mormons Christians?

Peter
Yes Mormons are definitely Christians. We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he came to this earth to die for us and atone for our sins. We believe in the same Christ that other churches believe in, and as we teach others about the gospel of Christ, we emphasize that Christ is the center of our lessons. We believe that without him the plan that God created for us would fall apart because we would not be able to repent and be forgiven of our sins. We know that it would be impossible for us to return to live with God if Christ did not atone for us. We believe in Christ and we love Christ. Show more Show less
