Hi I'm Bob Stephens

I grew up in Arkansas. Happily married over 45 years and we have 5 children & 12 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized in l967. I served in the United States Marine Corps and in Vietnam. I taught school for 36 years and am now retired. I love gardening, woodworking and helping out around the house. My wife and I were called to serve a mission to the people of the Marshall Islands in Sacramento,CA. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought many blessings and great happiness to my life and our families.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I was raised as a Christian boy, was active in a Protestant denomination, then expanded my understanding of the gospel by being taught by the missionaries as a 16 year old, having been introduced to the church by a neighbor. I read The Book of Mormon and asked God if it was true. When I prayed (which I had never done on my own before) to know if The Book of Mormon was true, my prayers were answered with such power I could not deny it. I received answers to the questions: who am I, what am I doing on earth, and where am I going?

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures and pray daily; serve in our local church and strive to keep all Gods commandments. My wife and I serve in our local Temple.
