Hi I'm Brent

Lives in So Utah. I'm a former TV/Radio Broadcaster, Realtor,Husband, father of 5 children, Mt Everest Climber and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the best wife ever...and we've been together for 38 years. I operate a Smooth Jazz FM Radio Station and I am a Real Estate Agent. I have been able to serve in the Boy Scouts of America in a leadership capacity for nearly 20 years. I have a very broad interest in many things and love to learn about people, places and things. I started a small company that eventually developed specialty backpacks and load carrying systems for the United States Military. My family enjoys camping, motorcycles and water sports such as boating. Recently I traveled to Nepal to film a documentary on the Sherpa people. I was so impressed by their spirit and the beauty of Himalayas. Ascending Mt Everest was a dream come true!. Of course as a Utah family we like to ski, even though we live in the area of the state that is mostly desert .

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon and followed the admonition of the ancient prophet, Moroni. I simply read the book and prayed to know if it was true. After several attempts to discover its truthfulness I received my answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. I know the Book of Mormon is true! If its true, then Joseph Smith is a true Prophet and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is therefore true. The answer for me is that simple.

How I live my faith

For many years I have been involved in the Young Men's activities of our church. We have organized and completed wonderful trips for the youth. One such trip lead us to the Boundry Waters of Northern Minnesota for an extended wilderness canoe adventure trip. The following year we attended the BSA Two Harbors, Catalina Island summer camp. I currently serve in an administrative position in our ward..

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Brent
When I was just 19 years of age, I accepted a call from our Prophet to serve a two year mission to Australia. No one forced me to go, I just knew it was the right thing to do. I had a desire to share the knowledge I had with anyone who seemed ready to listen. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. I discovered that by sharing what I had, others could share in the happiness I was experiencing. When our spirits are elevated by a heavenly influence, we want others to feel that same good feeling. It was a wonderful time in my life. I developed lasting relationships with many good people in Australia and beyond. Many years later, some of those who accepted our message visited me at my home to express their joy that the Gospel brought into their lives. Our only son has decided on his own as well to serve a fulltime mission for the church. Following his freshman year at Utah Valley University, with a major of Pre-Dental studies, he accepted a call to serve for two years in the Jakarta, Indonesia Mission. He is learning to speak the Indonesian language and is pleased to serve among the Indonesian people. He is happy to have the support of his Mother and four sisters and his many nieces and nephews.
