Hi I'm Tyler

I enjoy rock climbing and downhill biking. I also have a love for Volkswagens, both old and new. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and the second to youngest among my four siblings. I have two older sisters (30 and 26), an older brother (24), and one younger brother (18). All are active members of the church. Although the age gap between the oldest and youngest is 12 years, we are all VERY close! My brothers and I grew up wrestling, and my sisters were our own personal cheer squad. Now, we are all interested in rock climbing, specifically bouldering. We also share a common love of Volkswagens! I recently sold my 1989 Golf VR6 to my older brother to fund a two year mission. My parents are also active members of the church, and they might as well be all of my siblings best friends! They enjoy riding the motorcycle around all the wonderful sites northern Nevada has to offer. I loved following them in my car, mostly because I loved driving, no matter where, but also because I liked seeing all the cool places as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to have been born in the church. This doesn't mean, however, that I haven't made my own choice to attend and be a member of this church! Through high school, my parents let me make my own decisions. I found it easiest to live the way I knew best growing up. To stay clean of any drugs and alcohol, and just stay out of trouble, period. I know that this was through the guidance of the Holy Ghost, who is our constant companion. The gospel brings so much happiness to my life as well as guidance. I am led to things that are of importance, and I know the Lord has a plan for each and every one of us, and through righteous living, everything will work out for us. Through righteousness, we will find success in all that we do. Living the gospel and keeping its standards is so easy to me because I know these things to be true! Why not live happily and know the truth of all things at the same time? It doesn't make sense not to. Make life easier for yourself! I also love knowing the fact that families can be together forever. I already know this time on earth won't be nearly long enough to be with them.

How I live my faith

I attend church with a group of young single adults. I am in charge of putting together activities that allow us to socialize and have all sorts of fun. Recently, I've been called to be a branch mission leader, which means I work with the members and our full-time missionaries to reach out to those who are willing and ready to hear the restored gospel. In January, I am leaving on a two year mission to Mexico City where I will be sharing the gospel in that area. I cannot wait!
