Hi I'm Drew

I'm a missionary, artist, movie buff, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Drew, I grew up in Nebraska for 13 years before moving with my family to Iowa. I am serving a mission in Utah. I love to draw, paint, read books, snowboard when I can, paintball when I can convince people to go with me, and I adore movies. I am considering going to school for animation and story writing. Or something that will let my imagination come to life. I love music and humor. I have 2 older sisters, 2 older brothers, and a younger sister. I love to have adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon, so I was raised in the church, but I chose to follow it on my own. I've always had to test things before I believe them. I took a challenge to read the Book of Mormon within a year, reading 5 pages a day. As it got closer to the end of the year, I began to read more than just the five pages I needed to. I finished early, and felt accomplished for successfully completing this challenge, and didn't think much more about it. But then I noticed something strange happening. During the time I had been reading, my life had become happier. I had changed nothing else about my habits except reading the Book of Mormon. But all the worries and anxieties I had became less while I was reading, and the days had gone better consistently. It wasn't some fluke, this was an exercise over months that had produced a noticeable change. And when I had finished, things went back to being as stressful and frustrating as they were before. This was clear and tangible evidence to the power of the spirit and of God. He promised blessings for those who followed His commandments and I could see those blessings in my life, and I can not deny it. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I served as a teacher in my ward and assisted the local missionaries on their assignments. Currently I am serving a mission in St. George, Utah. I donate blood regularly. I look for opportunities to help people out in any way that I can. I try to stay as open and inviting as I can in regards to questions of my beliefs.
