Hi I'm Lane M. Adamson

I have lived in Montana most of my life and have been involved with ranching and community resource issues.

About Me

I grew up on a ranch in small town Montana. I graduated from Montana State University and have been involved with ranching and community natural resource issues through the years. My wife and I have 9 children and greatly enjoy all of them and their children. We find that the greatest joys in life are related to our family. I have a great love for the outdoors and the beauty of the earth. Cows, horses and dogs have a significant place in my heart. Hunting, hiking and fishing have always been activities which our family has enjoyed through the years. We were also fortunate to be able to work together and have a deep appreciation for achievement and sweat.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was raised by parents who were Latter Day Saints and their parents and grandparents were also. As a young man I served a two year mission in the eastern part of the country. In sharing my beliefs with others I gained greater conviction regarding the truthfulness of the restored gospel in these latter days. As I have grown older and experienced the challenges of life I have gained a deeper appreciation for the atonement of Jesus Christ and the infinite love of our Heavenly Father. Life is a grand experience and intended to provide us all great joy and happiness. I have experienced that joy in spite of great obstacles and disappointments along the way. I see the evidence of God's love for all of His children and his hand in the unfolding of the lives of those with whom I associate. I am deeply grateful to know that there are living prophets and apostles on the earth to direct us in navigating through such unsettled times and circumstances as we now face. I have read the Book of Mormon many times along with the Bible and derive great comfort and direction from them. I take great comfort in knowing that God has spoken through prophets in all ages and in many nations to reveal the mission of His son Jesus Christ who is the Redeemer of all mankind. All mankind are offspring of a loving Father in Heaven who knows each individual, hears all prayers and provides great blessings for all of His children. I know that we continue as individuals after this life and benefit greatly from our efforts to prepare to live with God by keeping His commandments. I know we have a Heavenly Father that loves each of us unconditionally. I have felt his love abundantly throughout my life. I know that anyone who wants to know of and feel His love can do so by asking Him in sincere simple prayer. Those who ask will surely recieve an assurance of His love in their lives.

How I live my faith

I served in our community on several boards. I feel it is important that we support our community through service. I also am active in the LDS church wherever we have lived. As Christians we look to the needs of others in the community who face challenges and also join with them in their successes and triumphs. My wife and I are currently serving an LDS mission in Estonia and will be here until 2015.
