Hi I'm Andrew

I am studying accounting. I served a mission in Hiroshima, Japan. I am a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved sports. I love competing. I played all sorts of sports growing up and have continued to play intramurals since attending college. I also love being involved in sports debates and conversations. In high school my friends and I announced our high school football and basketball games for Comcast - it was a lot of fun. I am currently a student. I am pursuing a masters degree in Accounting and will be graduating in April 2013. After graduation I will begin working for a large public accounting firm as an auditor. I have been married since August 2011 to my beautiful wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church is true. I grew up in the church and have only grown to appreciate it more and more. I was blessed to be born into an amazing family. I have had so many examples in my life of greatness. These are just ordinary people, but they have sincere desires to do good, help others, and follow Christ's example. I believe that the optimism, joy, and happiness that comes from having the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest blessing we can have in this life. This world is a crazy place. It is easy to get lost, confused, or feel alone. But I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ is God's Son and that He lives. I know that God speaks to us today and that He cares for, watches over, and sustains us daily. God has blessed me so much, and I hope to do all I can to serve and love all of His children.

How I live my faith

When I turned 19 I decided to serve a mission. I was called to the Hiroshima, Japan mission. It was the most humbling, difficult, wonderful, and character building two years of my life. The people of Hiroshima are some of the most friendly, humble, and kind people that I have ever met. It is amazing to see how they have overcome the terrible history they have experienced. I was blessed to witness the hand of God guide me to those who needed His help and were searching for Christ. I served with all my might for two years in order to try and be a blessing and help to God's children in Japan. I came to love the language, the food, the land, and mostly the people. The opportunity I had for those two years to serve and love the Japanese people is something I will never forget.
