Hi I'm Jim Clayton

I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi my name is Jim. I'm a father, husband and grandfather. I'm a retired manager. I like to ride motorcycles, camp and boat. I'm a pretty normal guy I guess. I especially love to be with my grandkids.

Why I am a Mormon

There was a time in my life when I was looking, searching really for my purpose here on earth. I'd looked at several religions and many seemed to make sense to me but fell short of really understanding and explaining my questions. I had been raised in the Mormon Faith but had fallen out of activity and was looking to the world to satisfy my needs. Eventually I determined to read the Book Of Mormon and pray, to ask God Himself if the book and the things it taught were true. I did read the Book Of Mormon and I did pray. God did answer my prayer! My heart was filled with the spirit of the Holy Ghost who confirmed to me in a most positive way, that the Book of Mormon is true. I was filled with an intense desire to learn it, study it and live accordingly. 40+ years later I still know the Book is the word of God through his Prophets on earth

How I live my faith

I've been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for most of my adult life. It's teachings and practices have been a constant and steadying influence in our family's lives, in a world of confusion, doubt and change. I've served in the nursery, the young men's and young women's programs and leadership positions. I visit widows, single mothers and two parent families to offer encouragement and service as needed. I try hard to be an example of Jesus Christ because I believe I represent him.
