Hi I'm Dallin Dvorak

I grew up in California, moved to Minnesota and I'm getting ready to Preach the Gospel for 2 years. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in California and I moved to Minnesota at the age of 9. I love pretty much anything. I love being outside. I like sports, but I played Soccer and Track & Field in High School. I enjoy shooting guns at objects that are not alive. So I am not a hunter. I love camping and just being out in the middle of the outdoors and away from modern influences sometimes. I love Scouting; I am an Eagle. I was in Tae Kwon Do. It makes me feel like a Jedi from Star Wars. I am a Black Belt. I love to Draw-- especially people. I have an 8 Inch raised 1991 Bronco. Its my dream truck/ Monster Truck. I like to dance even though I'm not good at it. I love music. I play the piano and Guitar. I love making movies. My favorite actor is John Wayne. I went to Normandale Community College last year. A class that I took was an Archaeology class. Indiana Jones inspired me. We headed to Tracy Minnesota for an Archaeological dig. I found a pot sherd, a flake of an arrow head and a arrow head. My greatest find was a Herth or fire pit that dates back to 580A.D. I think I will continue in Archaeology after my 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ at BYU Utah. I will be serving in Salt Lake for my mission. Crazy that my mission is so close to the college that I'm going to, but I'm excited because I've been hanging out with missionaries for about a year now and I am now so pumped and excited for my own mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. I always believed it was true. Eventually though, I had to find my own testimony. I had to see if I really did know that this was the only true church. As I have been getting ready for my mission I have really thought to my self, "do I have a straong enough teatimony to go on in life?" Through reading the scriptures, praying, and always having an open mind to many possible possibilities, I have found the most attachment and comfort feeling in this church. Not because I was born in it, not because my family was part of it, but because I know that only one church can be true and the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church. How do I know? Through the Holy Ghost and also through searching my self. I know that Jesus was a great man, but was he all that he said he was? We know that he died and then rose from the dead. That got me listening to Christ. He rose from the dead, he has to have some power if he could do that. So then I looked into his teaching. They made cense to me. It sounded like a friend was telling me these words and that they were meaningful for me. I believe in Christ. But his church eventually was destroyed. What now? If his church was destroyed how can I follow it 2000 years later? I looked into the Book of Mormon and I heard the same voice in my head when I read the Bible. They were definetly both inspired books and I knew right away that they were 100% true. A boy named Joseph Smith pondered just like me on what was the true church. Eventually he prayed and was visited by our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ in person. He was directed to join none of them. That narrowed down the possibilities there. Later on Joseph Smith helped Restore Christs true church with Prophets, Apostles, Temples, Priestood, Eternal Families, and so on. I prayed about this church. It fits perfectly, I have no dought in my mind, this is Christs Church in its fullest. Pray. I found my answer and I will never live in fear because of it.

How I live my faith

I love going to church. My favorite time of the week. I was a Primary Teacher. I enjoy hanging around little kids. They' re funny and sometimes say something very inspirational. I'm a Scout Leader Assistant. I love the Scouting program. I am a Branch Missionary. I hang out with the Missionaries and it is really helping me grow for my own mission that is coming up soon. The Church of Jesus Christ is not only a church to me, it is the only way I can see how I can live my life. It is a way of life. It is the most important thing in this world, next to my family.
