Hi I'm Michael Volle

I was raised in Southern Illinois, I received the Army ROTC full scholarship to BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play soccer and joke around. I enjoy hunting small game. I grew up trekking through the woods. I worked in a BBQ restaurant slow smoking all sorts of animals. I am good at staking hay. I want to be a bee keeper, have a small vineyard and a small orchard. I love alternative music and running long distance. I am the only member from my small town and live 35 minutes from the local branch. I was voted class clown in high school and participated in every drama club production. I love video games and movies. I love new foods and exploring my taste buds. My father is retired Illinois State Police and my mother aids the children on the Special Education Bus. I have 5 other siblings that are spread all over the United States. My oldest sister works at Disney World and has many special connections in the parks. I love my family and have 2 cats that love to sleep on my bed, and 1 large German Sheppard named Rex, and a little West Highland Terrier named Nessie, they love each other very much. I am soon to leave on my mission to Roseville, California.

Why I am a Mormon

I am am member of the LDS church because it makes me feel so happy and free. It keeps me focused on what is important in life and draws my family closer to me. It gives me oppertunites to explore my spirituality and to help me see how big a role Jesus Christ really plays in my life. I have many special blessings because of my membership and understanding of His plan for me.

How I live my faith

My father is the Branch President and is very involved in what goes on, so therefore; so am I. I am the role model to the young men, and I teach the primary 5-8 year olds. I go home teaching with an elderly man, and we see families scattered throughout our area. I love going to church, sometimes I feel like I want to fall asleep, but the talks are always so interesting. My branch is smaller so I am very well acquainted with everyone, and I love them all very much.
