Hi I'm Kali

I'm a small-town, country girl who loves sports and exercise. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small country town and developed a love for the outdoors and hard work. I was a collegiate athlete, and continued my education to earn a master's degree. I am married to a wonderful man who was also a collegiate athlete. We love sports and exercise and are thankful for good health. We both work full time and hope to soon start our family. I come from a large family, being the youngest of 10. I have amazing parents, who have been my strength and role models. I currently work in the health and fitness field as a personal trainer and health coach.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have come to know it is true. My conversion and my testimony of this gospel began when I was young as I watched and learned from valiant parents and siblings who taught me through their example how to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ. I continue to live the gospel standards because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that I lived with Him and my Father in Heaven before I came to this Earth, and I came here to Earth to learn and grow and show that I love my Savior more than I love the fleeting, indulgences of this life that do not bring real joy. I live the gospel of Jesus Christ because it brings me true peace and lasting happiness. I know that it is the only way that I can have an eternal family. By living the gospel I can become more like my Savior as I strive to be good. Through His atonement I can be changed and someday reach my potential. I am a Mormon because I have had a witness of its truthfulness. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who restored the truth to the Earth, and we still have a true prophet leading and guiding us today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and it testifies of Jesus Christ. Its message guides me through my life. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ came to this Earth and lived, died, and atoned for mankind. Because of his eternal love, I can again return to live with Him, my Father in Heaven, and my family for eternity. The Holy Ghost has witnessed these truths to me and I cannot deny them. As I live accordingly, I have true happiness and peace in my life.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to serve in a wonderful ward. I have amazing members that live around me who have helped me to better live my faith. I serve the women in my ward by visiting them each month as a visiting teacher. We share with them an uplifting message and find out how they are doing. I hope to be a friend that they can call on when in need. I also serve the young women in my ward as their camp director. I organize a week camping trip along with other activities throughout the year. These activities help them to learn valuable skills on how to be self sufficient and prepared for emergency situations and to help them develop their testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that they are daughters of God and it is important for them to keep high values and standards now and throughout their lives. I also strive to live a life of integrity and virtue. At my employment and within my community I try to be a friend and example of kindness. I hope that others can see what I believe by the way I live my life day to day.
