Hi I'm Eric

I'm a full-time student, married to my best friend, superhero fanatic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I'm going to school full-time to earn my degree in Computer Networking and Security. I'm a newly-wed and find joy in living life with my wife and taking on all the adventures that come our way; specifically those found in Lego Batman 2 on the Xbox. Backpacking and a passion for superheroes have always been my favorite hobbies. Currently I'm collecting the following comic books: Batman the New 52, The Amazing Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Transformers ReGeneration One. I was a missionary in southern Chile for two years, and love the Chilean people. Playing the guitar and singing are other things I enjoy, but the neighbors might disagree with. I geek it up with a mad mix of Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, DC, and Skyrim.

Why I am a Mormon

It's true. All the knowledge, power, and authority exist within the Church so that I can be cleansed of my sins and return to live in the presence of God with my wife and family forever. Nothing else has brought me more comfort and joy.

How I live my faith

I wipe drool off kids (and myself) in Nursery so that parents can have a spiritual experience at church every Sunday. Helping the children to have fun and learn Gospel principles is a great and fun challenge. I also find great joy in my hometeaching families by visiting them every month and getting to know them a little more each time. Reading a daily scripture or church article, mixed with a morning prayer, brings peace to my soul and the strength I need to face the day. Loving and serving my wife helps me to be a better person and become more like the Savior.

In whom should we have faith?

Jesus Christ is the savior of the world, and it is in Him who we should have faith. I have learned that the only true way to find happiness and comfort, especially when we struggle in life, is to have faith in Christ, and act upon that faith. How do we act? By doing our personal best to follow and obey Him; praying, reading scriptures, helping others. As we exercise our faith in Christ by obeying and following Him, we will receive Christ's divine help to overcome our challenges, and lift our burdens. Show more Show less
