Hi I'm Janet

I am a convert to the Church. I'm a wife and a mother of nine children. I love sewing and crafts and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was ten years old, my family was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by my father. My sisters and I took the Missionary lessons along with my mother and we were baptized shortly afterwards. Our family was active in the Church ever since our baptism and we were sealed as a family in the Los Angeles Temple. I later attended Brigham Young University where I met my husband. We have nine children and 15 grandchildren. Currently my husband and I are living in Mexico where we help in the Missionary work of the Church.

Why I am a Mormon

From the age of 10, when I was baptized, I attended church with my family and I learned the doctrines of the Church. When I left home to attend College, I had an experience that helped me to know for myself that this Church was the Church of Christ and that my Heavenly Father was aware of me. That experience has been the foundation of my testimony and it has grown much stronger over the years. I love this gospel and the difference it makes in the lives of people. This gospel has helped me to be a better person and I'm grateful that I was able to teach my children these same principles that have meant so much to me.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently involved in the Missionary work of the Church in Mexico. We love it here and we love the people of Mexico. We have both held many callings in the Church and love to serve others. The missionaries here have many wonderful experiences of teaching and helping others to come unto Christ.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is the organization within the Church just for women, eighteen years and older. It is a wonderful society of women who care about and love each other! I love the Relief Society and the friends it has afforded me throughout my life. I have learned so much about life, my role as a woman, the gospel, Jesus Christ and the doctrines of salvation from the weekly meetings and activities. Show more Show less
