Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a missionary in the Arizona Phoenix mission. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 24! I love music and guitars and stuff! I am currently serving in the Arizona Phoenix mission. I did about 5 years of college and was pursuing a degree in audio production before I left. I like to play the guitar and piano when I have time, but being a missionary keeps me BUSY. It's fun. I decided to serve a mission after my last 2 semesters at Utah Valley University which I definitely do not regret. So far it's been really hard, really fun, and super spiritual all at the same time. The best part about it is seeing other people grow in their faith in Jesus Christ and watching the difference it makes in their lives as they read the Book of Mormon and come to know their Savior better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ. Faith in Him has truly made all the difference in my life. The most miserable I have ever been in my whole life has been the times when I let go of that faith, and the happiest I have ever been was when I chose to do all I could to follow Him and let Him help me put the past behind me and move forward in life. I love repenting! I love the Book of Mormon because it really is ANOTHER Testament of Jesus Christ. The prophecies and true stories in it have strengthened my faith throughout my life. Our Father in Heaven really does love ALL His children and the Book of Mormon is proof of that. The amazing thing is that anyone who reads the Book of Mormon and prays with a SINCERE DESIRE to know whether or not it is true, can know for themselves that it is, through God speaking to them through the Holy Ghost in their own personal way.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as Mormons. I really enjoy being out all day every day meeting so many cool people from several different backgrounds and having the opportunity to share with them what's made all the difference in my life. I love reading the Bible and Book of Mormon every day and building my faith in Christ as I share it with others.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We all make mistakes and IT IS THROUGH THE GRACE AND MERCY OF JESUS CHRIST THAT WE CAN BE SAVED. Jesus asks that we have faith in Him and it is important that we demonstrate that faith by doing the best we can, to show our love for Him and our Heavenly Father. I believe that because of His grace we can be better people in this life as well as in the next life. That is why we have the commandments we obey. To show our faith in Him by keeping them and also to help us be better. When we make a mistake, we can try again and through His grace do better the next time. That's what life is about. Learning from our mistakes and continually improving. It is only through Christ's grace that this is possible. Those who are trapped in sin can be changed and made clean through repentance, which again is only possible because of His grace. Repenting is changing our will to be in line with God's. It is a blessing to repent because it allows us to change and to be healed from the spiritually damaging effects of sin. We can receive that blessing and many more in this life and the life to come if we decide to truly follow Jesus Christ and keep His commandments. Yes we believe in grace. God's love and grace is always there for us, and it is through repentance that we get to experience it more fully in our lives. Show more Show less
