Hi I'm Joshua Tiata Fiso

I was born in Utah but did most of my public schooling in vegas. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I lived most of the life I remember in Las Vegas Nevada... While I was there I gained an interest in computers and started to pursue computer programming... right now I am a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Iowa Des Moines mission and enjoy helping others gain further understanding of our religion.

Why I am a Mormon

like quite a few people i was born into a family that were members of the mormon church... but truthfully i really never had a true understanding of the church until some time in high school... i decided that I needed to read the book of mormon for myself... so that is what i did... after pursuing that course i knew without a doubt that this was the true church... I then continued to prepare myself to serve a mission for the church... this gospel has really blessed my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am laboring in the Iowa Des Moines Mission, the areas I have served in are Winterset IA(birthplace of John Wayne), and Centerville IA(close to the area where come come ye saints was written)... Hannibal Missouri(The birthplace of mark twain), Story City Iowa(home of one of the oldest carosels), and now. Altoona Iowa(home of the adventureland theme park) this is potentially the last area for me to be in before i return home to live in Provo utah. and would rather be nowhere else right now than Altoona. also since i have been on my mission i have learned we use Pday to warsh laundry a couple-three farsees down the crick.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Joshua Tiata Fiso
What is the Book of Mormon?... The Book of Mormon is an amazing peice of historic literature that explains the lives of the first inhabitants of the Americas. On top of that peice of information, it shows just like the Bible the fulness of the Evrlasting Gospel... if you don't beleive me then why don't you find out for yourself by actually reading this amazing span of events ranging from the years 600 B.C to approximately 400 A.D... enjoy your read Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Joshua Tiata Fiso
absolutely not... as members of the church we are to mourn with those that mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort... nowhere does it say that we can only help members. last time i checked many people need help and we are obligated to help all... mormon or not... of course we always invite you to test us out and experience the happiness and peace that comes from it. but you are always welcome to our help. How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Joshua Tiata Fiso
I beleive the best way to come to know our Father in Heaven is to make an effort... In may places in the scriptures we are promised ask and ye shall receive, also seek and ye shall find. if you are truly desirous to know your Heavenly Father, seek out the missionaries of the church, ask to meet with them, follow there invitations and pray to know what is taught is the truth. that is how you can come to know your Heavenly Father Show more Show less
