Hi I'm Chris Whipple

I live in Mesa, Az. I have 7 children, 5 living, I didn't think I could survive the loss of a child and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am now a proud Grandmother of 12. Visiting my children and grandchildren and singing when I am invited to are some of my hobbies. Music has always been a fun hobby for me. My biological father was a professional singer so I am sure those inherited traits have been passed down. Being raised a Mormon in Mesa was a blessing to me as the Church was very strong here. But still I dated a non-Mormon in high school but knew it would never work for me in the end.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of course I was raised one, but I know this is His Church. I knew it long ago as I attended Primary myself and in those tender years of learning truth. I cannot ever deny having a testimony of the truth I feel as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. In giving birth to those 7 children and then to lose an infant daughter was of course devastating. I never thought I would ever lose another child. Eighteen years later, our 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia and passed away within 6 weeks. I felt the Lord's divinity as He comforted and never left me in my anquished time of need. He has blessed me with tender mercies that came into my life in those terrible times of need. Just because your a Mormon does'nt mean we will be free of adversity. But remaining close to the Savior is such a help during immense, trying times.

How I live my faith

I have participated in many school programs through out my life. Such as PTO's, school musicals and committies. I was even President of our local Garden club in our small town we lived in at the time. I currently teach young 5 year old children on Sundays in church. It's been many years since I have taught Primary, but they even save a soft seat for me. That makes me feel very important to the children and the need for "senior" teachers!
