Hi I'm Glen R.

I believe and practice the teachings of the restored Church of Jesus Christ (Mormon).

About Me

I grew up in several states as my parents moved for employment during the depression. I married my sweetheart before going to Korea. I like my Father lived in California and Ohio to maintain employment. I have three children, a daughter and two sons and four step children, all girls. I completed my college degree in Ohio during a period of unemployment. This opened the opportunity for me to be employed in the accounting field which continued to retirement age. After retirement, my wife and I moved to South Carolina for more favorable weather.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon Daniel 2:44 states that the time would come (somewhere between the early 1800’s and the late 1800’s), that the God of heaven would set up a kingdom. I expected it to be like the original one discussed in Ephesians 4:11-12. The teachings I find in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, are these same teaching taught for 4000 plus years by of the important people and leaders of the Old and New Testaments. By adopting and living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I feel closer to Christ and God, our creator, and find satisfying peace in avoiding the enticings of the adversary. Additional truths that enforce my beliefs and practice as a Mormon 1st Peter 3:18-20 states that he (Christ) during his three day period in the spirit world (phase three existence) preached to the disobedient spirits from Noah’s day who were in prison. They had been in prison, not Paradise, for some three thousand plus years. Murders from Noah’s day could still be there, thousands of years later. Cain will not see the ‘light of day’ (resurrection-phase four) for a total of seven thousand earth years. What more incentive do we need for keeping the commandments and avoiding licentious involvement. (Note: regarding phases one and two, see Job 38:4-7 and Acts 17:28-29. Quoting a friend of mine: “We are just one generation away from our creator”) or in other words, according to Acts 17:28, we all have a common ancestor, a single generation back.

How I live my faith

I support and practice my convictions in the principles of the Mormon faith because of my conviction that the common principles of the important leaders and prophets of the Old and New Testament, some 4000 plus years, are those taught and practiced in the Restored Church of Jesus Christ, today. These leaders and prophets did not coexist, so they had to have the same source. So, what is our obligation in this life phase (second) earth life existence? Keep the commandments, teach these things to our children and share these thoughts with others.
