Hi I'm Mason

I love my family. I love to rock climb. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee and love being from the South. I've got one little sister who is my favorite person in the world and two incredible parents. Everybody is still back home in Tennessee but I am currently living in Idaho going to school and studying construction. I am loving my time out here. I also love trying new things. As of right now, my favorites are rock climbing, snowboarding, and riding my motorcycle.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-Day Saint because when my life is in accordance with the teachings of Christ and my church leaders, I am healthier, happier, and ultimately more effective. It is my experience and promise to you that the secular walk that is so readily available in this world will lead us to only a superficial understanding of what true joy is. The precepts of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a higher road and a beautiful one, and is founded on what God desires of man to do on this earth. As C.S. Lewis said, "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon often means living our faith through ordinances and works which can at times come across as a charade of, "who is the most spiritual?" Though I know that all of those day to day acts of prayer, scripture study, and love for your fellow man are of the utmost importance for our eternal happiness, I feel a faith driven life is not manifest in the same day to day acts. I see my faith and the faith of others in going the extra mile. I live my faith by pushing myself a touch farther as often as possible; In falling so short of perfection but reaching a little more every day. Faith, in my opinion is remembering how He never stopped trying and then following suit.
