Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm happy to serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

About Me

I'm serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I serve in the Florida Tallahassee Mission. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I want to share it with everyone so they can have to wonderful joys that I have. I love music and anything dealing with music. I want to be a composer for media such as movies and video games. I also want to be an accoustical engineer and modify sound to create new ways to listen to the world. I play bassoon, piano, tuba, and guitar and love to have fun with music. I want to play professionally in a big name group such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I dream big and strive hard to accomplish my dreams. I was a drum major in my band in high school and loved working with the group in new and exciting ways. I try to make every experience a learning experience and grow from it in anyway I can. When I'm not making a tune, I'm playing video games with my family. It's a really great way to relax and have some fun. Over the course of my mission I've learned to love my Savior Jesus Christ through applying His teachings in my daily life. I can truly say that it has changed my life for the better and I'm so glad. Serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the best decision I've ever made and I'm so excited to help others come closer to Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but there comes a time in everyone's life when you must decide who you want to be and what you want to believe. I'm so thankful for my parents sharing the gospel with me and teaching me the priciples I need to be the best I can. I'm a Mormon because I have taken the time to find out if this is the truth. I have read the Book of Mormon, cover to cover, and can say that it is true. The Holy Ghost has confirmed this truth to me and continues as I read today. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and church of Jesus Christ. I know that with that came the priesthood, the authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ and perform the ordinances required. I know that we have a living prophet today as I have listened to his words. By his fruits, I know that he is a man of God. I have lived this gospel and can say that it is the way that God wants us to live. I'm a Mormon because I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I'm serving a full-time mission which is two years of my life. I'm very excited to go and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to apply everything that I can from the scriptures and the words of the prophets and apostles. I love my family and try my best to listen and obey my father and mother. I strive to keep all the commandments of God with exactness. I really want to show my love for God by doing these things. I pray and communicate with Him often vocally and in my mind. I can't thank Him enough for all that He has given me. My ulitmate goal is to return and live with Him again which is made possible through the atonement of Jesus Christ. We can learn how we can do this through his Gospel. While on my mission in Florida, I've been able to meet many different people and help them change their lives for the better. It's amazing to encourage and uplift others in there goals to live according to Christ's teachings. I have been from home to home with the purpose of making the lives of others better and I can feel the love of the Savior working through me and ultimately helping me to be a better person as well.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! The Church bears His name because it is His. In this church, we follow the teachings of the Savior Jesus Christ more fully and exact than any other religion. As a matter of fact, it's not a new religion, but it's the same church and religion that was on the Earth during the time of Adam and Eve. It's the same church and religion as in the time when Christ was on Earth. It's not a new thing. We absolutely believe in the Savior Jesus Christ and His atonement. Without Him, we are nothing. What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

"We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly" (Article of Faith 9). Joseph Smith once said that the difference between other Christian religions and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that we believe in the whole Bible. We use and believe in the teachings of all the holy prophets since the world began. It's the same church and religion that Adam and Eve were a part of. It's the same church and religion that Jesus Christ organized during His Earthly ministry. We believe in the Bible as the word of God. Show more Show less
