Hi I'm Xavier Loose

I'm an Eagle Scout, I'm Canadian, I'm a Twin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm eighteen and currently on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm serving in the California Los Angeles Mission (CLAM for short) speaking spanish. It's so much fun learning a new language and getting to serve the people of Los Angeles. As a missionary I share the gospel of Jesus Christ and see the light it bring to peoples lives including my own. I have one older brother and four sisters one of which is my twin! We were born on the thursday of Aug 6 1998 two minutes apart as the 5th and 6th children of my parents. We were born in Calgary Canada but after moving around a little we settled in Houston Texas. One of the places we lived was Panama. There we doubled the size of the small branch we attended. Living in Panama at the age of seven really impacted me because not only did I see what poverty lookes like, I also saw at a young age what the church can do for people in those situations. The church brings joy and is the same throughout the entire world. During our stay there, we helped spread the joy of the gospel and when we left our small branch, it had almost doubled and plans for expanding were in the works. I know the church is true and I have felt the personal assurance that Christ lives and loves us. He is our savior and if we come unto him we will have Joy.

Why I am a Mormon

We believe that the church exists to "perfect the saints" and that is exactly why I'm apart of this church. We don't go to church for God. God wants us to go to church so he can help us grow. I know that the relationship I have with God wouldn't be possible without this church. The Book of Mormon is true and is another way we can grow our love for the savior. I love being a mormon and I wouldn't trade the spirit I feel for anything in the world.

How I live my faith

Being a missionary is an experience of a life time. I am able to really be intune with the spirit because of my Christ and service focused lifestyle. Before my mission I loved to study the scriptures including the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Both are full of wonderful examples of Christ's love for the children of God. I also love to be in nature and see all that God has created for us, to feel the soft breezes and see all the green in the world. I also love to sing. Many of my favorite songs are hymns and nothing helps me feel the spirit more then signing one of my favorites like "How Great Thou Art" or " Come Thou Fount"

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Xavier Loose
After the death of the previous Prophet, the title of Prophet falls to the next sienor Apostol. Each Apostel is chosen under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and guides it today. All of the apostols are prophets and all work under the direction of Christ. Show more Show less
