Hi I'm Christian

I grew up in southern California, I am currently serving a two year mission in Tonga, love my life, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I was raised in Southern California by a single mom who was and is a prime example of a selfless, humble, and hardworking person who puts the needs of others before hers always. I served a two year mission in the islands of Tonga for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a current full time college student living in Utah majoring in business. I love being active and lead a very fit and healthy lifestyle lifting weights on a daily basis. I love the outdoors! When I get the chance to head back home to California for a break, I spend most of my time in the ocean surfing. I love my family and am so very grateful for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings that living according to the standards of the church has brought to me and my family. As someone who grew up with a single parent, I have seen how much the Mormon faith has influenced, helped, and brought benefit to my family. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Lord and Savior. And that through his atonement, we can all be forgiven of our short comings. That is why I'm Mormon. Because I know that He lives and that there is modern day revelation received from our Father in Heaven today through his servants who are called Prophets. I know that we have the tools neccesary to be guided through this tough life: prayer, scriptures, the Holy Ghost, and those around us are all blessings and gifts given to us from our Heavenly Father. I know that we are all given the freedom to choose for ourselves whether the choice be good or evil. I know most of all, that my Heavenly Father loves me. These are just a few reasons why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

With my particular faith and as with many others, I have to opportunity to serve those all around me on almost a daily basis. In my faith, the men in the ward are divided up into companionships and then assigned people in the ward to become what is called their "home teacher." This basically allows everyone to be taken care of if and when they are ever in need of anything. I find it a blessing in many ways to fellowship those around me and it allows me to befriend those I might not usually get the chance to become acquainted with. I also have the opportunity to teach Sunday School about one to two times a month which is a great opportunity for me to learn and grow as I prepare lessons based from the holy scriptures such as the Bible. I try to live my faith on the daily through my everyday small choices. I wish I had even more opportunity to serve others or at least looked for more. My faith allows me to constantly be striving to become better.
