Hi I'm Ariel

I am a water aerobics instructor and am studying to become an Occupational Therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from college with a degree in Exercise Science. I love learning about the body and about psychology. I am currently applying to graduate school in order to become and Occupational Therapist. I love working with people and developing meaningful relationships. I love spending time outdoors, especially if it involves water activities. I enjoy reading historical fiction novels. I have an amazing family that I love talking to and spending time with them. I recently got married and I am excited to learn and grow with my amazing husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. There is nothing on this Earth that makes me happier than the blessings that come from living the way Christ would have me live. I learn how to live this way by attending church and by making and keeping sacred covenants that I know are true. I know that by keeping Christ's commandments, as taught in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine & Covenants, and by living prophets, I will be happy and safe. I know that the scriptures are true because I have read and studied them and I continue to do so. I started reading the Book of Mormon on my own when I was 12 years old. I read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover that summer on my own and have done so every summer since then. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it was translated by Joseph Smith by the power of God. This book testifies of the divinity of Jesus Christ and His Atonement and teaches me how to return to live with him when my life on Earth comes to an end. The Book of Mormon adds to the Bible. It does not take away from it. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for our lives but that we have the ability to choose whether or not we will follow him. There have been many times in my life when I have chosen to put my future in the Lord's hands. His plan is always so much better than my own. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and knows the best way to help us be happy but we must do our part to follow his guidance. This guidance comes through the gentle whisperings of the Holy Ghost. If we live righteously, the Holy Ghost will always be with us and we will be safe and protected. I know that President Monson is a prophet on Earth today just as Moses and Noah were prophets in the Bible. President Monson seeks to guide and protect us just like these historic prophets did through the power of God. I am happy when I follow the council of President Monson.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being an active part of my congregation. Being part of a congregation allows me to develop relationships with those that I may not have met or gotten to know otherwise. I enjoy visiting with the other women in the ward and learning about what challenges and triumphs they go through. My husband and I enjoy reaching out to our neighbors by inviting them over to dinner. This is such a fun way to get to know people on a more personal level.
