Hi I'm Ashton

I love sports, the outdoors and music. I was adopted and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and I love to have fun. Being from a ski town like Park City I have always enjoyed skiing. I've been skiing ever since I was little and it will always be a part of my life. In 2011 I graduated from Park City High School. I played football for them for the 4 years I attended. I started playing football when I was 8 years old and have played ever since. Along with football I love to play basketball, lacrosse and golf. Also when I was 8 years I joined the Cub Scouts and I scouted all the way throughout Boy Scouts until I was awarded with my Eagle Scout. I've played music my entire life mostly the piano but I've more recently picked up the guitar and I can't put it down. I enjoy playing both the acoustic and electric. One of my favorite hobbies is cooking. I love to be in the kitchen whipping up a delicious meal or treat. I hope to eventually make it to culinary school. I have one sibling. My older sister and she is my best friend. I love my family so much and we always have a good time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because my life has been blessed by living the teachings found in the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon. As I study the scriptures, especially The New Testament, I find all of Christ's teachings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a logical guy and things need to make sense in my mind and the teachings and doctrine found in The Church of Jesus Christ make sense to me. The Book of Mormon makes the most sense to me. The Book of Mormon is an additional witness of Christ and is a record of a different people in a different place and yet the teachings line up with that of the Holy Bible. For me it just makes sense.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as a missionary in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. There is nothing I love more than to talk about our savior Jesus Christ, because he has done so much for me. I live my faith by doing my best to follow the example that our Lord Jesus Christ has set for us. I do my best to live a life of service just as Christ did. He taught us that we need to love one another and to serve each other and I try to focus on serving my fellow human beings. I have been immensely blessed in my life, while others haven't, so I try to bless their lives as best I can. Service truly is a huge part of what I do to live my faith, along with others. I also live my faith by doing my best to make righteous decisions and lead by example, in a world that is degrading faster and faster each day. I try to be a beacon and a leader to others.
