Hi I'm Adrianne

I'm a mom, tutor, and lover of learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom. I love paper crafting, tutoring, and blogging. I grew up in Utah, but wasn't raised as a member. My parents were raised in the church but wanted me to find my own faith. When I hit highschool, I started to attend various churches with my friends. I was hesitant to listen to LDS missionaries because of all the terrible things I heard about them. I eventually gave in and accepted a Book of Mormon. One Sunday morning, I decided to pull it out and browse through it's pages. As I read the book, it came to life for me. Something that has never happened when I read the Bible. I decided to let the missionaries in. As they taught me, it was like everything they said made sense. It was like being reunited with knowledge my spirit had always known. I had to wait about six months to be baptized because my parents were hesitant to let me just jump into to. As an adult now, my parents have seen how the gospel has blessed me and my family. They see how it's affected my ability to parent and make righteous decisions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because it gives me a road map of life. It answers the simplest questions to life. Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going? I know deep within me that this church is true and I wouldn't abandon that knowledge for anything. Being a part of this church blesses me in ways that are hard to describe, but I have peace in all things.

How I live my faith

I have the honor of working with the youth in my church right now. Because I joined the church when I was 17, I feel like I understand keenly some of their questions and worries about the gospel. It's helped my testimony grow as I see others grasp the light of the gospel and start making different decisions. As a memeber of this church, I have the opportunity to serve in many capacities. I visit other women who are much older than me. Had it not been for the way these visits were organized, I would have never interacted or learned from these amazing women. I really like how our church emphasizes that we are all teachers and learners in the gospel. Each of us have something to teach or share about our Savior.
