Hi I'm Sam Henrikson

I grew up in Battle Ground, Washington. I love to play soccer. I have an awesome, loving family, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love playing soccer, have been since I was 5 years old. I have an interest in art, I took as many classes as I could for it in high school. I also enjoy reading on free time when I am not hanging out with my friends or when I was working at an assisted living home full time as a personal care attendant and/or med aide there. I am currently serving a full time mission in the Mississippi Jackson Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to this gospel by my parents. I grew up in the Church as my parents took me each Sunday to attend meetings and activities hosted by the church. I was even baptized by my father when I was 8 years old and then recieved the Gift of the Holy Ghost. It wasn't until I was 20 when I became truly converted to this Church and It's teachings. God is with us in our trials, we are never forgotten. I know this personally, for I have literally felt my Heavenly Father's warm, loving embrace around me in my darkest time. My life changed after that. I came to recognize the many blessings that He had given me. My desire for life was rekindled, and my purpose became clear. My faith and trust towards His Son, Jesus Christ, grew and still continues to grow, as does my love for Him, His Church, and His Gospel. I know Joseph Smith was personally called of God to be a prophet, to restore God's truth upon the earth, and that he saw our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I also know that we have a modern prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, who guides and teaches the world exactly as God wants it to at this time and age, in these latter-days. The Book of Mormon was inspired of God, and does inspire and touch lives to this day. Like the Bible, I know it consists doctrines and teachings of ancient prophets who God Himself called upon. I have personally been blessed tremendously with the guidance and advice this book has given to me, simply by reading it. My love for Jesus Christ is unbreakable. Without a doubt He is my Redeemer and Savior. I don't know who I am without Him in my life, I owe Him everything. I know that Christ suffered for us, and even died for us. I know that He lives, and He loves me, and knows me as an individual. This Church is true, and it stands today on top of a sure foundation- Jesus the Christ. He is our core and center of it, and leads this Church. I know this to be true, and can proudly say: THAT is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Now, I live in Louisiana as a messenger of Jesus Christ, serving those who stand in need of help as I share a message our church provides about our loving Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus the Christ. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by sharing His message, that we may all come unto Him, and to follow His teachings that we may become more like Him through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ which teaches finding faith in our Savior, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
