Hi I'm Adam

I'm your average young man from the beautiful city of Heber tucked away in the mountains of Utah. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm 18, waiting to serve a mission to Moscow, Russia. I'm so excited to go. I've spent time learning the language and the cyrillic alphabet, and have really enjoyed that. Everytime I go to mission prep. or look at pictures of Russia I just get more excited and can't wait to leave. I love the gospel and can't wait to spend 2 years serving the people of Russia and sharing this message with them. Everything about Russia looks and sounds to me like it is where I want to go and I'm ready to start. I've graduated from high school and plan to go to BYU in 2 years after my mission and hope to one day be a seminary teacher. I love sports, any sports, it's just fun to go and play with friends and have a good time. I played football, basketball, and ran track in high school, I also run triathalons for fun. I love to explore new places and will sometimes just get on a bike or run to a new spot in the mountains that I've never been to before just to look around. Love being outside in nature and enjoying the beauty all around, it's refressing and makes me happy. I live at home with my family (Mom, Dad, 3 brothers, and 1sister) and will miss them very much when I'm on my mission. I'm very close to all of them and enjoy going on vacations or road trips with them because I get to spend more time with them. Watching movies is also a favorite pass time of mine. I watch them for entertainment or as an escape from every day life when I need a break.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of love. I was lucky enough to be raised in the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by two loving parents who taught me the gospel since I was little. I've been blessed to be able to to through Primary, Young Mens, and Seminary where I've had the opportunity to learn and grow from the testimony of others all around me. My whole life I have been able to study and ponder the scriptures which has helped me come to where I am today. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The more I learn and study the more I feel my saviors love for me. His attoning sacrifice was the most loving thing humanity has ever seen. he spent his life going about doing good; healing the sick and afflicted, blessing the meek, raising the sprits of the low in heart, and preaching love, mercy, and joy to all who would listen. He bleed and died to take away my sins so that I can return to live with him again in heaven. because of him I can overcome the sins I commit and become a better person. He gives me a purpose as I strive to live righteously and helps me along the way. I can feel his love for me every time I read the scriptures, sing a hymn, walk outside, or serve others. I know my savior lives and loves me, and I love him.

How I live my faith

In my ward my dad is the bishop which I think has made my experience in my ward that much better. It seems like my family is always aware of the people of the ward and serves them often which brings them all closer to your heart. Our ward experiences a large percentage of inactive members so I have spent much of my time as deacon, teacher, and priest going out and trying to find the boys my age and bringing them with me to chuch and scouts. We generally have a small number of boys that come but we are all very close and have had some very fun times together. Now that I'm not in high school anymore, I've been made the assistant scout master so that I can stay involved in the young mens until i leave on my mission. The past few months as a leader have given me a whole new appriciation for scouts. I never realized just how much time and effort the leaders put into the boys and I am so greatful to all the men who have done that for me the past 7 years. It really is an amazing program where I've learned much of what makes me who I am today through different activites, programs, and role models. I also served on my local Seminary Council during high school. I learned so much there from my peers and teachers about the gospel in my life and how to better care for the other students around me. I had so much fun with my friends on the council and loved teh opportunity I had to be around these kids who had such strong testimonies. Our meetings were some of the most spiritual learning experiences I've ever had and I learned so much from each of their examples. I found that the people you love, you serve, and the people you serve, you love more. I loved the members on my council and all the students who I worked to give a better seminary experience to. I am so glad I got to be associated to that group and hope that I was able to be as good of an example to them as they were to me.
