Hi I'm Catherine

I grew up in Missouri.I have a great passion for foster care, and changing the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Missouri for 8 years about on a farm . It was a wonderful childhood and I will always treasure the time I had on the farm.Right now I am getting ready to go on a mission to Santa Rosa, California. I"m very excited and very nervous at the same time. I have always wanted to go to California, so I'm very happy about going there. I'm trying to prepare myself for going on a mission, and trying to keep the spirit with me, and make right choices. I also, help my mom take care of her Therapeutic foster kids in Idaho. It is challenging at times, but it helps me overcome issues, and come closer to my Savior, so I'm thankful for the challenge, and I'm thankful for the many challenges that come my way because it makes me stronger. At first I don't want the challenge of course, but as I push through the challenge, I realize that it will make me stronger if I can have enough faith and willpower to do it. I have a deep passion for art and animals. I love art just because it's amazing to me how we can create a picture that has so much deep meaning and emotion in it, it just mesmerizes me. I want to learn how to draw and to create art, right now I'm not so good at it. I love animals so much,I don't exactly know why, but if I could give them all a home I would, they deserve that. I guess its just like my passion for art, I just have a love for them I cannot deny.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I was born in the church, but I didn't always want to be a Mormon, but I think I knew in my heart it was true. I just didn't want to conform to the many rules that are in the church. It was very immature of me to think like that, and I'm very sorry for wasting precious time, that I could have been in the church and learning of my Savior and becoming more like him. I'm happy that I am in the church now, and what brought me to the church was my mother, she was so spiritual, and so devoted that it was hard to not believe it was true.

How I live my faith

I participate in church, by trying to go every Sunday, of course. I am a chorister in Relief Society, at first I was very nervous, but I'm actually enjoying it now and not as nervous to do it. I am also a ward missionary, which I was terrified to do, but I've become happy with the challenge of having this calling. Both of these callings have prepared me for serving, and wanting to serve on a mission. I never thought that I would serve on a mission because I just never thought I was good enough to serve on a mission, but I've realized that I can, and I'll be good at it. Which, makes me so happy, I'm the happiest I've ever been, and I'm so thankful for this opportunity to go on a mission.
