Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been a member of the LDS Church for 2.5 years. I have been married for 10 years. I have seven wonderful kids, five of whom are my step-kids. I enjoy spending time with them and catching up with the older ones whom I don't get to see very often. I enjoy knitting and reading. I work for a school board as a secretary/accounts payable.

Why I am a Mormon

Ten years ago I married a life time member of the Church. I became a member 2.5 years ago. After many years of making a few self-destructive choices, soul searching, and numerous attemts at reading the Book of Mormon, I decided it was time for me to sincerely pray to God and ask if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith was truly a prophet of God. I received my answer. The Holy Ghost testified to me that these things were true and I decided I wanted to be baptised. Being a member of this Church and learning the principles it teaches has changed my life in a way I never thought possible. I am the happiest now than I have ever been. The bad days and trials of life don't feel as heavy as they used to. My whole outlook has changed and I believe that anything is possible through our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try my best to follow God's commandments. I'm continuously searching for ways to spiritualy strengthen my family. I try very hard to not only teach my kids the principles of the gospel but to also be an example myself. I have recently taken on the responsibility of contacting local organizations whose mission is to help the homeless, battered women and those less fortunate to find out what their needs are and to see how the LDS Church can help.
