Hi I'm Axel

I am a sometimes quite, independent, spontaneous, smile lover and successful world-wide vagabond. I am a Mormon

About Me

If there's one thing that people should know about me, it is that I am a comedian at heart. I love to smile and laugh. Some of the best times in my life are when I am laughing so hard that I cant breath, or when I smile so much it hurts. I have a family the size of a baseball team including 2 bench warmers! I am the youngest of 9 children. Yes, the life of the youngest is the sweet life:) There is always something exciting going on in my family, so there are tons of opportunities to die from laughter! My Dad works for the U.S. state Department, so I have moved around a lot. So far my life as been spent in 8 different countries, spanning 4 different continents. Moving every 2-3 years typifies my life. I am a sleeper from morning to early/mid afternoon. A pursuer of dreams during the day. An astronomer at night. And a music fanatic 24/7.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to be a Mormon. I guess I need to explain a little bit more. I chose to be a Mormon because it helps shape me into the kind of person that i want to be. Someone who is kind, generous, loving, forgiving, charitable. A person who is full of hope for the future. Someone who is believing and faithful. Someone who stands up for their beliefs and standards. Someone who is doer not just a sayer. I want to be a person who is confident and unshakable, but humble and teachable. Someone who is patient and can laugh at life's various speed bumps. Someone who is service oriented and an advocate for all that is good in the world. A person who is compassionate and understanding. Someone who is joyful. I want to be someone who is a friend and a reliable family man. These are all the attributes that I am trying to develop. I chose to be a Mormon because this is who I want to be.

How I live my faith

The way that I live my faith is trying to become what I believe in. I live my faith in the seemingly mundane everyday choices. My goal is not to merely do, but to do with a purpose. I try to live my life with the Big Picture in view. I am not perfect, and therefore I frequently make mistakes. However the beauty of my faith lies in the hope that I can change. It is through all kinds of changes, big or little, that I can become what I believe in. I live my life focused on the what I can become, which is a refection of my faith. I live my life trying to be changed to become more like my savior, Jesus Christ.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Axel
My understanding about God and my relationship with him is something that I treasure most in my life. I think the only way that we can learn about who God is and our relationship with him is through personal experience. It is the only way. What I know about God has come from my experiences with prayer. I have felt that God is our Heavenly Father. We are His spirit children. That relationship is so strong and full of love. Our Heavenly Father loves us and will be there to teach us, comfort us, guide us, and help us achieve our full potential. Our Heavenly Father is Perfect in every aspect. Through my own experiences I have learned to trust in Him completely. Heavenly Father`s only desire is for us to be eligible to receive all of the blessings that he has in store for us. No matter what kind of person you are, or in what circumstance you are in, you can always develop your own personal relationship with your Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
