Hi I'm Tara

I'm a wife, mom, author and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born and bred Utahn, and a 3rd generation latter day saint. My faith has always been an integral part of my life. I am a happy wife, a stay-at-home mom of 2 fiery little boys, and an entrepreneur. I have a small life coaching business that I started 4 years ago in which I try to help others live more fulfilled, joyful lives. My motto is, "(We) are that we might have joy." I am also an an author and am currently working on my second novel. I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, reading good books, and public speaking.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in the church, I have discovered for myself through study, prayer, and living the Gospel that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. Living gospel principles brings me peace, clarity, and stability in an increasingly unstable world. I have an assurance that God and His Son know and love me personally -- this knowledge is priceless and helps me get through the difficult days. The Plan of Salvation -- one of the key doctrines unique to the LDS church -- brings a tremendous amount of insight and peace. It answers all of those "million dollar questions" that many people throughout the world are troubled by. I know where I came from, why I am here, and exactly where I am going . And knowing that I can live with God and my family again after this life is the crowning doctrine of all that the church teaches. In summary, I am a Mormon because I KNOW it's true AND it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

Praying daily, gospel study, and serving in the church are key to my faith. Without prayer, life is full of chaos and unease. As I grow older, I am becoming more and more aware of just how vital daily prayer is to my sense of peace and contentment. Gospel study helps keep me focused on what's important. I'm so very, very grateful for the words of living prophets as well as the prophets of old that we find in scripture. Without these truths, it would be so easy to be swayed by the whims and trends of the world. Understanding the Gospel and God's plan gives me a firm foundation on which to plant my feet in an unsteady world. Finally, attending and serving faithfully in my ward gives me the opportunity to get outside of myself and to love my neighbor -- active service is core to any firm testimony of Christ. I currently serve as the Valiant 10 teacher in my ward. I LOVE it! Best calling EVER!
