Hi I'm Savanah

I'm a big sister, swimmer, reader, lover-of-learning, future engineer, and daydreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn! I sampled everything from German to sewing to welding in high school. I'm technically a pre mechanical engineering major at BYU, but I had to throw in Arabic and astronomy just for fun this semester because trying out new things is too much of a blast to pass up. I love to swim, play the piano, read, and travel. I can draw great stick figure ninjas. My family and friends are angels in my life, and I am eternally grateful for them. I have been called to serve a mission in Helsinki, Finland and can't wait to share the word of God with and learn from the people of that beautiful country!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel; both of my parents are strong members and wonderful examples to me. As I have grown older, I have had opportunities to develop my own testimony as I have prayed, read the scriptures, attended my church meetings, and entered the temple. I have seen miracles in my life sent by a merciful God, and been blown away by the beauty of His creations. I have felt the love that my Heavenly Father has for me, and I know that he wants me to be happy. I know that they way to be happy is to do my best to follow the commandments that God has given us through his prophets. Even though it is not always easy to live those commandments, doing so brings peace and blessings from God, while following the devil brings nothing but sorrow. I know that if I do my best and rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ to help me when I make mistakes, I can live with my Heavenly Father again after I die and I can be sealed to my family for all eternity. I love my family, and want to be worthy to be with them forever. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I push through the negative influences surrounding youth today and work to dress modestly, treat others with love and respect, and obey the commandments God has given us to keep us safe. Praying and studying the scriptures every day, attending my church meetings, and spending time with people who bring me closer to God helps to keep me smiling and focused on what matters. I am about to dedicate 18 months to the service of God and His children by serving a mission in Helsinki, Finland.
