Hi I'm Benjamin

I love my big family! I love to perform. I'm serving a 2 year mission in the maritimes. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a huge advocate for anti abuse/bullying. My hobbies are running, reading, swimming, painting, hanging out with me mates. My passions are singing, acting, dancing, music, and travelling. I'm aspiring to go to university for the arts one day after serving my mission for my church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. One of the things that people are impressed with when I tell them of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is that we are encouraged, even required to find out for ourselves if what we are taught in church is true. I found that out many times when I would go to church youth camps or listen to our modern day prophet speak over the world wide bi annual broadcasts. My own testimony has grown incredibly over the years as I have studied in early morning seminary, by myself, with my family, in church, and as I have interacted with those around me in my daily life. I have had ample amounts of opportunities to share my testimony of why I live the way I live and what I believe. And that is that I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, that I have a personal relationship with him and I do receive answers to my prayers through the holy spirit. I know that this life is not all there is, that it is the time for us to prove ourselves to be worthy to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that a boy with little education could not have translated the Book of Mormon without aid and authority from the divine. I have received personal confirmation that our modern day prophet and his counsellors are called of God and are his mouthpieces to us. I have faith that one day, I will stand before my heavenly father when I die and have "Well done, thou good and faithful servant", in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

My calling in the church or the next two years will be to serve a full time mission for my church. Throughout my high school years, and work experiences, I have had many opportunities to talk about this church and that's only strengthened my resolve to serve a mission before starting a career as a performer. I've earned the Queens Venture award for scouting which, along with my past school leadership programs have given me a strong sense of service minded ideals. My upbringing and the cleansing power of the atonement has pushed me to serve a full time mission to bring the restored truth of God's plan for His children. The knowledge of this truth is a responsibility. One that I am so happy to share with whoever I know.
