Hi I'm Louise

I grew up in southeastern Idaho and that is also where I raised my own family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

By profession, I am a Certified Public Accountant. I mainly do audits of government entities - cities and counties. I raised six children and then went back to school to finish my degree when my youngest daughter was in high school. I took my last CPA exam the day before my daughter got married. My husband and I run for fun. We have been running for about three years. This year we both completed our first marathon. We try to find at least one race a month, mainly half-marathons, to participate in. We are not fast, and generally cross the finish line about in the middle of the pack. It is not about winning, it is about finishing. It brings a sense of accomplishment and we find it a lot of fun. We also bike for fun. Like running, my husband and I started participating in organized rides/races after our children were raised. In the last two years I have done a century bike ride and three metric century bike rides. I love life and I enjoy the time that my husband and I spend together. He is my best friend and has been for 40 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents that have strong testimonies of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was taught the gospel principles in their home. I read and study the Book of Mormon and the Bible on a daily basis. I have prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true and I have received that confirmation from my Heavenly Father. I have felt the influence of God in my life many times. I know that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ. I know the Christ is the Savior of the world. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church upon the earth. These truths have been testified to my through the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as one of the leaders of the women's organization in the LDS church in our community. I am responsible for training and assiting ten other women's organization presidencies as they serve as leaders of the women's organization in their congregations. The women's organization, known as the Relief Society, is a service organization to help others spiritually and temporally. We help others gain an understanding of their Savior, of God, and of his church upon the earth. We also help others in time of need such as sickness or during financial struggles. I have developed a strong love for the women I work with in my community as we have worked together to help those in need. I have also developed a strong love for those we have helped. I am thankful that I can make a difference in the lives of others.
