Hi I'm Joseph Ewell

I'm a missionary in Guadalajara, Mexico. I love Football and quading for fun. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm Joe. I am nineteen years old.I am serving in the Guadalajara, Mexico mission. I like to play football and basketball. I also enjoy quading and camping. When I return home from my mission I plan on attending UNLV to study hotel administration or being a police officer. I was born in Nevada and after that I moved to Texas, Indiana, Colorado, back to Indiana, Utah, Michigan, and finally Arizona. I am the oldest of 5 children. I have two younger brothers, two younger sisters, and two wonderful parents! I love my family and I love the gospel and the joy it has brought to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into the church. Being born into the church doesn't mean you are necessarily converted. It took me many years to gain a testimony of the church and I am so glad that I have come to a knowledge that this church is true. I continue to follow the gospel of Christ not because I am a mormon but because I am a desciple of Christ and I want to be like him. I know that anyone who with a sincere heart asks Heavenly Father in prayer if the church is true in prayer, reads the scriptures, and comes to church will recieve a testimony of its divinity. I have a testimony of this church, the power of prayer, and the importance of reading the Book of Mormon. I know that families can be together forever and marriages are eternal through the Lords holy temple. I know that my family loves me and that if we keep the commandments we can return in the presence of god our loving eternal heavenly father. My testimony is firm as a rock and I will not deny it. The savior suffered in the garden of Gethsemane for our sins and died on the cross that we might have the opportunity to recieve eternal life. The Lord promises blessings beyond imagine if we will turn unto him.

How I live my faith

The church has tremendeously strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ and I have come to know him personally through prayer. Just before my mission I had the opportunity to teach five year olds in Sunday school! They have simple testimonies of the gospel and candy helps them have a little more attention span. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve a mission and be a representative of Christ. the book of Mormon is the word of god and it gives me guidance in my life with questions and descisons that I have to make. I love the gospel and the reason I am sharing the gospel as a missionary is because I know it is true and I want everyone to feel the joy of the gospel in their lives too!
