Hi I'm Tate Murphey

I grew up in Spokane Washington, i love being active and meeting new people, and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currrently serving a misson in Arizona, i'm serving in the spanish language. Previous to this i attended university were i had the time of my life. I'm planning on majoring in Finance and Economics. I hope one day to become an investment banker. I love snowboarding, playing tennis, playing any sport with a ball, learning, meeting new people and spending time with my family. I am the youngest of 6 kids, and love playing with my nephews and nieces more than anything in the world. I love making people happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ loves me. I can find direction in my life, in a world that is full of some many terrible things I can stay strong and do what I know is right because I know God is always there for me. I'm a Mormon because i know the Book of Mormon has answers to some of the greatest questions of life and while I'm only 19 years old I know what my purpose is. I know there is a way in this life to be happy all the time. I have found what brings me happiness because what I've been taught. Being a Mormon has been the greatest blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

Right now as a missionary I look for opportunites to serve anyone I come in contanct with. I'm a huge believer that a simple smile is the best form of service a person can give. Previous to my mission i was the President over about 40 guys at church. As a leader I made sure everyone was doing okay while away from home for the fist time. Every room of 2 guys would visit two girls once a month to make sure there were doing well. We planned activities and had an soccer games, an easter egg hunt, went sledding and much much more. We tried to make sure everone had somewhere to go for fun and when they needed a little boost when classes seemed a little too hard to handle.
