Hi I'm Bruce Jolley

I was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon . Joined the Army at age 17. Worked for the railroad for 48 years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Have been married for 36 years. We have 8 children, and as of this entry 23 grandchildren, and one great grandson. Worked for the railroad for 48 years, and retired only 2 years ago. I joined the military at age 17, and served for 3 years. I enjoy watching "Duck" football. I also enjoy gardening, fishing, and camping when the weather is favorable.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the church a long time ago. Attended church through most of my teenage years, but at one point I fell away from the church, and was gone for a few years. I chose to follow a different path. At mid life, my life started to fall apart. I went back to the one thing that I knew I could trust and believe in, my church and it's teachings. Life has been good ever since. Oh, it's not without obstacles, but I have learned how to cope with them. I know that God lives, and that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and I try to live by it's precepts.

How I live my faith

I am a Mormon. Have been all my life. Was baptized when I was 8 years old. I have served in numerous church positions. Working with the youth, and also the young single adults. I have been assigned to visit several families each month "Home Teaching". Have had many special experiences while doing this. I try to follow the Saviors example each day. No, I am not perfect, I make mistakes, but I try to do my best. I am thankful for my knowledge of the Savior, and my wife and I pray daily.
