Hi I'm Jacob Mac Holmes

I was born and raised in Vernal Utah. I graduated from Uintah High School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and all outdoor activities. My family and I spend a good share of our summer riding horses to different lakes in the High Uintahs. My friends and I are also into filming. We make ameture videos for Youtube. We may not get many views, but we enjoy the process and I love improving our videos as we learn more.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born in the church. I have been blessed with every oppertunity to learn and grow in my testimony. From lessons in Primary and Family Home Evening I was able to learn important information, including that I am a child of God. I learned these things and believed that they were true, not only because they made perfect sense in my mind, but also because I could feel the spirit testify the truth to me. I have been tempted to question some aspects of what I know to be true at times, but at such times I consider all that I've been taught and as I do so I feel, without a doubt, that these things are true. The Holy Ghost is the best companion we have in deciding what is right and what is true.

How I live my faith

I was raised to love giving service, and I still do. I feel great whenever I help out with a Ward Wood Project, or help set up for our ward's Christmas party. I always feel blessed to have helped with these activities. I feel equally blessed when I do the small, friendly favors. I know it may sound silly, but knowing that with just a small effort I was able to lessen the load of another makes me feel accomplished. I try to spread happiness along my path. I gain great satisfaction from improving someone's mood or helping them through a hard time.
