Hi I'm Amanda

I love music, cooking, and the sunshine. I'm a BYU grad and married my best friend of 15 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a bit of a nomad, living in 5 different states throughout my life, but proud to call Florida my home. My husband and I met when we were just 12 years old and we have been married for 3 years. One of my greatest joys is my job, working with individuals who have special needs. Through them, I see the pure love of Christ. I love to serve. I love to sing. I love creating things. Right now, I have three brothers serving as full-time missionaries for our church. Their testimonies have inspired me to have the courage to share my testimony of the Gospel more freely, and without hesitation. I know that the happiness that I feel is a result of my desires to serve the Lord and follow His teachings, and I want to share it!

Why I am a Mormon

I used to think that I was a Mormon because my parents were Mormon. I guess as a child you tend to gravitate toward the same things that your parents do. As I have grown, however, my testimony has become something bigger, something that is mine. I first gained a knowledge that God was mindful of me, and that knowledge came through reading the Book of Mormon. As I read, I felt peace. I felt that I was receiving answers to questions that no one but God or I knew. I felt His love, and once I felt that, I knew. Life is not perfect. It never will be. but the happiness I feel from living the principles found in the Book of Mormon has never been duplicated by any other source. And that is MY belief.

How I live my faith

The best way I have found to LIVE my faith is to ACT. The scriptures teach that faith without works is dead, that if we want our testimonies to grow, we have to nourish them through obedience. I believe in daily scripture study and daily prayer. I love to pray with my husband. I attend weekly church services and work with the youth of the church. I sometimes have the opportunities to play the piano for our worship services. Through these seemingly small actions, I have found my greatest strengths.
