Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Idaho. I love football and all sports. I was baptized at the age of 16. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when i was 16. So I have not been a member my whole life. My family isn't LDS so I am the only one. I love sports and being with family and friends. I got called to serve a mission to Peru and then return and go to College to become a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

As I was I was growing up a lot of my friends were LDS and I never completely understood what the church was about. When I became a sixth grader I recieved missionary lessons, but I felt the missionaries were pushy about baptism so I avoided them. As I became a tenth grader I started going with a friend to church and started recieving missionary lessons again. This time I had a missionary who was also a convert and very patient and understanding. He didn't bring up baptism until months into our lessons and by then I had read and prayed enough that I felt it was the right thing to do. My parents weren't very happy with my decision and resented it for awhile, but I stuck to my decision because I knew it was the right thing to do and would benefit not only myself but my future family as well. My greatest goal is to give my children a great and wholesome home where they will always have their parents together. I know this Gospel will bring my family joy no matter the trials that we will have to face. I love having that certainty and security to know that it will all work out in the end if we follow Christ and his commandments. I hope to bring others unto to Christ on my mission and help them find this happiness and joy that I have found. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have participated in many youth groups throughout high school. I was on Youth Council to help put together an activity that included about 1000 youth from around the town. It turned out to be a great and uplifting event for the youth of our community. I do my best to put forth my efforts and skills for the betterment of our church and people who are looking into the church.
